Attendance

UBC Calendar: https://vancouver.calendar.ubc.ca/campus-wide-policies-and-regulations/attendance

You are expected to attend all classes regularly, including lectures, labs, tutorials, seminars, etc. If you are behind in academic work and assignments you may not be allowed to take final examinations.

Some courses may assign a grade based in part on your attendance.

If you were absent because of illness or disability, you should report this to your instructors when you return to class. If you need to request an academic concession, you must do this as soon as possible and provide documentation if necessary. For more information see Academic Concession in the Policies and Procedures section of this website.

Students may not study for university degree credit at any other institution, whether by correspondence, evening, or regular class session. If, for exceptional reasons, you wish to do this, you must obtain approval from the Dean of your home Faculty and the Dean of the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.

The University reserves the right to limit attendance, and to limit the registration in, or to cancel or revise, any of the courses listed. Information concerning limitations on attendance for the various faculties and schools is found in the Faculty and School entries.
