The UBC Library is providing bookable study space in the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre Monday through Saturday. This space will include access to desktop computers, printing and scanning and be organized to ensure safe physical distancing at all times.
- The space will be open 9 a.m.-7 p.m., Monday to Friday and 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. Saturday.
- Registration is currently limited to current students, faculty and staff.
- Spaces must be reserved online more than 24 hours in advance.
- Library users can make up to 5 reservations per week.
- You will not have an assigned seat. You can sit in any open study space in the building.
- Our building occupancy will be reduced, and seating arrangements changed, to ensure physical distancing.
- Masks are required, per UBC Guidelines. Masks may be removed briefly and intermittently to speak in an online class or to eat/drink.
- Cleaning and sanitation procedures have been enhanced. Supplies will be provided for you to clean your space before use.
- Access will be limited to certain floors and spaces.
- Group study rooms and classroom spaces will be closed.
- No study rooms are available for booking.
- There will be no water fountains or food available for purchase in the building, so please come prepared.
