About the group
Are you a graduate student? Feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or challenged in balancing work and life? This in-person support group is for graduate students to connect with each other in a non-judgmental and welcoming space to help navigate the unique challenges of grad school.
Topics are generated by participants so that relevant themes may be addressed. Past discussions have focused on topics such as: motivation, procrastination, perfectionism, feelings of being an imposter, isolation and making connections, work/life balance and setting boundaries, and managing work relationships. Further, you may learn new coping strategies and skills, be connected to helpful resources, and foster greater resiliency and self-agency.
You can join the support group at any point during the term, though we recommend regular attendance as it builds community.

This group is open to UBC Vancouver graduate students. Group sessions will be held in person. Students will need to be on campus in order to participate in the group.
