Notes on Eligibility

In Departments where both the Bacharel and the Licenciado are offered, the Bacharel is normally taken by those not considering a teaching career. However, it is not uncommon for students to complete the degrees simultaneously. The academic standard is not raised by taking both qualifications.

completion of the Bachelor, or Licenciado or Titulo

Overall Grade Required

8 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent)

Credentials or Degrees Required

Bacharel, Licenciado or Professional Title (Titulo).

Overall Grade Required

8 on a 10-point scale (or equivalent)

Credentials or Degrees Required

Mestrado/Mestre

English Language Test

Applicants from a university in Brazil are usually required to provide results of an English language proficiency examination as part of their application. This applies to all applicants whose basis of admission will be a degree from a university in which English is not the primary language of instruction. Please note that graduate programs have the right to request a language test when deemed necessary, even if the language of instruction has been English. Read more
