Notes on Eligibility

Three year Bachelor degrees are acceptable as a basis for admission to graduate studies at UBC. Master's degree by research are often not graded. As such, strong reference letters (with at least one letter from the student's supervisor) are required.

English Language Test

Applicants from a university in Australia are usually not required to provide results of an English language proficiency examination as part of their application. Please note that graduate programs have the right to request a language test when deemed necessary, even if the language of instruction has been English. Read more
