Why did you decide to pursue a graduate degree?

To give me an in-depth knowledge in my area of study, and to further develop my research skills.

Why did you decide to study at UBC?

UBC is acknowledged as one of leading universities in the world.

What is it specifically, that your program offers, that attracted you?

Two major issues attracted me: first, I wanted quality education and UBC is known for that; and second, I was offered an award.

What was the best surprise about UBC or life in Vancouver?

Meeting people from all walks of life.

What aspect of your graduate program do you enjoy the most or are looking forward to with the greatest curiosity?

The defense or the oral examination aspect of my program.

What do you see as your biggest challenge(s) in your future career?

I struggle not knowing what the future holds for me, but by God's Grace there is no challenge in my career that I cannot deal with.

How do you feel your program is preparing you for those challenges?

My research/content knowledge has broadened.

What aspects of your life or career before now have best prepared you for your UBC graduate program?

I have worked in a university setting before coming to UBC.

What do you like to do for fun or relaxation?

In my spare time I watch movies.

What advice do you have for new graduate students?

New students should read widely to broaden their mind. They should also be focused and serious in their studies.
