What was the best surprise about UBC or life in Vancouver?

Vancouver is literally "rain-couver".

Why did you decide to study at UBC?

UBC Math department is in the top list all across the globe with so many brilliant researchers and professors, while graduate and post-graduate fellows are professional and interactive. Moreover most people at UBC are so kind, friendly and approachable, which contributes to a warm and efficient campus.

Why did you decide to pursue a graduate degree?

It's more like seeking self-improvement and self-accomplishment: overcome every challenge we have and will have met.

What do you like to do for fun or relaxation?

Sports including swimming and jogging would be helpful to pressure relief; reading novels and watching movies or animation are other options for me.

What advice do you have for new graduate students?

Feel free to talk to fellow graduate students and senior students, get to know the staff, they're all nice people to talk to.
