Why did you decide to pursue a graduate degree?
I want to make a difference. The more I learn about the environment and forests the more I come to understand problems and potential solutions. Pursuing doctoral studies felt like a natural step toward achieving my purpose.
Why did you decide to study at UBC?
I grew up near UBC and have a deep connection with the area. I'm very happy to stay here, but the main reason I am studying at UBC is that the Faculty of Forestry offers incredible opportunities for research and is comprised of a great community of people.
