UBC’s Faculty of Forestry & Environmental Stewardship is recognized globally as a leader in interdisciplinary, solutions-focused research, teaching and community outreach that is helping to realize more sustainable communities and landscapes.

Since opening our doors in 1921, the Faculty has grown to offer a comprehensive suite of undergraduate, graduate and Micro-Certificate programs focused on forestry and the environment. Graduates gain the knowledge and skills to pursue meaningful careers in a broad spectrum of disciplines, including forest operations, novel biomaterials, Indigenous land stewardship, biodiversity conservation, tall wood building and urban forestry, among others. Together, our work is shaping a more sustainable, biodiverse and inclusive future.
