Why did you decide to pursue a graduate degree?

The interdisciplinary aspect of medical physics is what drew me to the field, and pursuing a career as a Medical Physicist requires a graduate degree.

Why did you decide to study at UBC?

I grew up here and I love living in Vancouver. I was very excited to be returning back here to begin the grad school adventure, especially after the Montreal winters I experienced during my undergrad at McGill!

What is it specifically, that your program offers, that attracted you?

This program has many positive aspects, including the location, and the collaboration with BC Cancer and the wonderful medical physics team there.

What was the best surprise about UBC or life in Vancouver?

Vancouver has so much to offer - we are surrounded by beautiful nature to explore, as well as so many diverse and delicious restaurants to try!

What aspects of your life or career before now have best prepared you for your UBC graduate program?

Discovering a field that I had curiosity and passion about. Grad school can be challenging, so it's definitely important to find a research area that you are passionate about!

What advice do you have for new graduate students?

Enjoy all the beautiful things Vancouver has to offer!
