Notes on Eligibility

Students who complete all the coursework, examinations and attend all lectures/seminars are considered to have reached the "Absolutorium" stage. The Absolutorium does not represent completion of the credential, but indicates the completion of the non-thesis part of the degree. Except for degrees in Medicine, Dentistry, Vet. Medicine, the magister degree or equivalent is conferred only on completion of the thesis.

ECTS Credit System

3-year bachelor degrees for master's degree admission and 5-year master's degrees for doctoral degree admission are accepted at UBC. Please note that some countries may have both the old academic degrees and the new ECTS degrees.
