Why did you decide to pursue a graduate degree?

I plan to pursue a career as a clinician-researcher and recognized that formal training in public health and research would help me reach my career goals. The Master of Health Science program offered the research methodology and epidemiology foundation that would be important for both my research and clinical career.

Why did you decide to study at UBC?

The University of British Columbia is a world renown institution and the Master of Health Science is tailored to clinicians and other health professionals.

What is it specifically, that your program offers, that attracted you?

The variety of courses offered through the School of Population and Public Health attracted me to the program here at UBC.

What was the best surprise about UBC or life in Vancouver?

Living in Vancouver has been a wonderful experience. The access to nature is unparallel and the excellent professors ensure an engaging and fruitful learning environment.

What advice do you have for new graduate students?

It is important to stay organized and goal-directed to ensure one can take advantage of all the learning opportunities available.
