Why did you decide to pursue a graduate degree?
Since my senior undergrad years, I liked the life in academia. I was always curious and wanted to know more. Also, I realized that to really contribute to the society, first I need to learn things properly and deeply. This is what motivated me to pursue higher studies.
Why did you decide to study at UBC?
UBC is one of the top universities in the world. I wanted to join the Faculty of Applied Science because of the cutting-edge research facility UBC provides. Of course, another reason is beautiful British Columbia. Vancouver is a wonderful and rare combination of urban life surrounded by so much natural beauty.
What do you hope to accomplish with your research?
I believe that, in this world of increasing internet fraud and security problems, my research will introduce some new ideas that can be useful in security related applications.
What are your future career goals?
I aspire to be a professor in my home country. I would like to teach and do research to help human society.
What has been your most memorable Vancouver experience so far?
Spending a day on the top of Grouse mountain snowshoeing.
What advice do you have for new graduate students?
UBC grad school has a diverse student community and great research environment. So, do apply.
