The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Doctoral Research Awards provide special recognition and support to students who are pursuing a doctoral degree in a health-related field. Two types of awards are available. Please be advised that an applicant can only apply to one competition in the same year:

In addition, please note that if successful, an applicant cannot change the proposed location or institution paid from a Canadian institution to a foreign institution since the purpose of these competitions are different.
