Each year, the Canadian Institute for the Administration of Justice provides funds for a $7,500 Research Fellowship in order to support research related to the Institute's annual conference theme. The Fellowship is named in honour of the late Honourable Charles D. Gonthier, formerly of the Supreme Court of Canada, who once held the Presidency of the Institute. The completed research is expected to be presented at the Institute’s annual conference and published with its proceedings. The Institute will pay the expenses of the successful applicant to present his/her paper.
