UBC's Okanagan campus was recently issued an evacuation alert due to wildfires in the Kelowna area. We understand that this is a difficult and frustrating time for our UBCO community, and know that UBC is working to ensure the safety of all faculty, students and staff on the Okanagan campus and surrounding areas.
For the latest updates on the fires, visit the BC Wildfire Service and Central Okanagan Emergency Operations websites.
If you are a graduate student who has been affected by the recent wildfires in Kelowna or throughout the province, and are in need of support, please reach out.

To access emergency funding, you will need to first meet virtually or in-person with an Enrolment Services Advisor. For more information on emergency funding, visit the Student Services website.
We recognize that our students have family across the globe, and may have family impacted by the fires. Students can access Aspiria, the UBC Student Assistance Program (SAP) for free health and wellness support, 24/7. Services include personal counselling, life coaching, group programs and more based on your needs. You can use a mobile app to connect, or call their toll free number.
We will provide updates as available.
