Why did you decide to pursue a graduate degree?
I decided to pursue a graduate degree because I have always liked doing academic research and would like to prepare myself for an academic career.
Why did you decide to study at UBC?
UBC has several scholars in the field of environmental politics, which made it very attractive. Moreover, the political science department has been highly supportive during the application and admissions process and made sure I would have appropriate supervision.
What is it specifically, that your program offers, that attracted you?
Highly engaged professors, who were willing to involve me in several research projects right from the start of my degree.
What was the best surprise about UBC or life in Vancouver?
UBC is extremely well-organized and the facilities are overall the best I have experienced during my student life so far.
What aspects of your life or career before now have best prepared you for your UBC graduate program?
I have found that my undergraduate and master degrees with their strong research focus have been extremely helpful in facilitating my transition to doctoral studies.
What do you like to do for fun or relaxation?
During my free time I like to do sports (running, cycling, badminton) and learning new languages.
