IRCC distinguishes between study levels (undergraduate vs. graduate) and provides institutions with PALs on each study level.
The PAL itself will have a field labeled “PAL type:” and either show “Graduate Degree Program” or “Undergraduate and Other Program”.
The table below shows which programs fall under which PAL type. UBC will issue you a correct type based on your program of study.
