Welcome to UBC, grad students!

It’s the start of a new school year, and orientation events for new graduate students start next week. Full details are available at orientation.grad.ubc.ca, but here’s a brief overview of events:

Wednesday, August 31st, 9:00 AM– 12:00 PM, IRC
International Student Welcome

Wood 2 (Instructional Resource Centre-IRC), 2194 Health Sciences Mall

Thursday, Sept 1st, beginning at 9:00 AM in the Chan Centre
G+PS Welcome Day

9:00-11:30 AM, Chan Centre, 6265 Crescent Rd
11:30 AM-1:00 PM, lunch at Graduate Student Plaza, near the Transcendence statue at 6371 Crescent Rd plus a campus resource fair along Main Mall near the flag pole plaza.
1:00-3:00 PM, afternoon sessions, various locations.
3:00 PM, welcome celebration, Koerner’s Pub, 6371 Crescent Rd

Friday, Sept 2nd, beginning at 9:00 AM, Thea Koerner House
GSS GRADventures 2016 Orientation Day

The day will start at 9:00 am with a pancake breakfast at 6371 Crescent Road, and includes mini-workshops, a BBQ lunch, campus and museum tours, and wraps with a boat cruise.
