Leong CSC UBC Postdoctoral Fellowship Likely in October 2024 Renewable postdoctoral fellowships of $50,000 per year for up to three years are offered annually by the Tai Hung Fai Charitable Foundation, in partnership with the China Scholarship Council (CSC). Four Year Doctoral Fellowship (4YF) Likely in December 2024 The Four Year Doctoral Fellowship (4YF) program provides funding for UBC's best PhD, DMA, and MDPhD students of up to $18,200 per year plus tuition.

Mitacs Globalink Research Award Likely in January 2025 The Mitacs Globalink Research Award supports research collaborations between Canada and select partner countries. The award is open to undergraduate and graduate students in all discipines. Funding varies by destination.
NSERC Foreign Study Supplements in Taiwan Likely in February 2025 Foreign Study Supplements in Taiwan provide graduate students in the natural sciences and engineering with first-hand research experience in an international setting. Award supports travel to Taiwan for eight weeks this summer and work with researchers on projects related to their research studies in Canada while receiving Mandarin training at National Tsing Hua University.

Anne Vallee Ecological Fund Likely in March 2025 The Anne Vallée Ecological Fund (AVEF) offers two $1,500 scholarship to support students registered in animal research at the master or doctoral level in a Québec or British Columbia University. The AVEF is focussed on supporting field research in animal ecology, in relation with the impact of human activities such as forestry, industry, agriculture, and fishing.
