Edwin S.H. Leong CSC UBC PhD Scholarship Likely in October 2024 Renewable doctoral scholarships of $35,000 per year for up to four years are offered annually by the Tai Hung Fai Charitable Foundation, in partnership with the China Scholarship Council (CSC). EduCanada Study in Canada Scholarships Likely in March 2025 Study in Canada Scholarships provide students from post-secondary institutions located in the new eligible countries/territories with short-term exchange opportunities for study or research in Canadian post-secondary institutions at the college, undergraduate and graduate levels.
Dr. Jim McDonald Scholarship for Northern Research Likely in January 2025 The Association of Canadian Universities for Northern Research (ACUNS), with the support of the family of the late Dr. Jim McDonald, is sponsoring one scholarship valued at $5,000 for Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada currently enrolled in graduate studies in the social sciences and humanities as these pertain to Canada’s north and its inhabitants. Community-based-research, interdisciplinary research and local Indigenous collaboration will be given special consideration, as will those that can demonstrate a specific focus to their project.
Douglas McRorie Memorial Scholarship Likely in March 2025 The Douglas McRorie Memorial Scholarships are awarded to agricultural post-graduates majoring in agricultural business, economics, finance or trade. Candidates must hold Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Residence status in Canada and be enrolled in their graduate program until at least one semester beyond the application deadline.

DEGIRS Bursary Likely in May 2024 The Division of Engineers and Geoscientists in the Resource Sector (DEGIRS) offers a $2,000 bursary aimed at advancing engineering and geosciences education and practices in BC. Studies should relate directly to professional engineering and/or professional geoscience in the resource sector.
Dan David Prize Scholarship Likely in March 2025 The Dan David Prize awards scholarships to doctoral and post-doctoral researchers, carrying out research in one of the selected fields for the current year.
DAAD (Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst) Scholarships and Research Grants Likely in November 2024 Scholarships and grants are available for graduate students and post-doctoral researchers in all disciplines for study and research at institutions in Germany.
CIHR Fellowship Likely in October 2024 Fellowships provide support for highly qualified applicants in all areas of health research at the post-PhD degree or post-health professional degree stages to add to their experience by engaging in health research either in Canada or abroad.
CIHR Doctoral Research Awards Likely in September 2024 The CIHR Doctoral Research Awards provide special recognition and support to students who are pursuing a doctoral degree in a health-related field.
China Scholarship Council Doctoral Scholarships Likely in March 2025 The China Scholarship Council (CSC) provides scholarships to Chinese students for doctoral and postdoctoral studies abroad, across a wide range of disciplines.
Charles D. Gonthier Research Fellowship Likely in March 2025 The Canadian Institute for the Administration of Justice provides funds for a $7500 Research Fellowship in order to support research related to the Institute's annual conference theme. The completed research is expected to be presented at the Institute’s annual conference and published with its proceedings. Open to faculty and graduate students at Canadian universities.
CGS/ProQuest Distinguished Dissertation Award Likely in June 2024 These awards are made to individuals who have completed PhD dissertations representing original work that makes an unusually significant contribution to the discipline.
Centre for Applied Ethics Graduate Fellowship Likely in March 2025 The fellowship will provide a one-time annual stipend of $20,000 plus a research-related allowance of $1,500. Relevant topics for this fellowship include but are not limited to: bioethics, business ethics, environmental ethics, public health ethics, and health inequities.
Canadian Water Resources Association Scholarship Likely in February 2025 The Canadian Water Resources Association (CWRA) annually offers five scholarships to graduate students whose programs of study focus on applied, natural, or social science aspects of water resources.
Canadian Student Health Research Forum (CSHRF) Travel Award Likely in March 2023 As of 2023, the Canadian Student Health Research Forum (CSHRF) has been absorbed into the International Congress on Academic Medicine (ICAM).  The Canadian Student Health Research Forum (CSHRF) Travel Award is no longer offered.

Canadian Liver Foundation Graduate Studentships Likely in March 2025 The objective of the Canadian Liver Foundation (CLF) is to provide support for research and education into the causes, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases of the liver. Graduate Studentships and Summer Studentships are intended for scientists-in-training who are working towards obtaining their Masters or Ph.D. and whose research projects are related to liver diseases.

Canada-US Fulbright Program Likely in November 2024 The Canada-US Fulbright Program is a bi-national program of educational exchange, with a mandate to enhance mutual understanding between the people of Canada and the people of the United States of America. Available to graduate students, faculty, professionals and independent researchers, successful applicants conduct research, lecture, or enroll in formal academic programs in the United States.
