Gustave O. Arlt Award in the Humanities Check with graduate program; Graduate program nomination deadline: Friday, 23 March 2018 Named in honor of the first president of the Council of Graduate Schools and first presented in 1972, this award is made annually to a scholar-teacher in the humanities. The recipient must be teaching in a North American university, have earned a doctorate within 7 years of the award date, and have written a book of scholarly importance. Subjects fields are selected annually. Awards have been made in literature, history, linguisitics, foreign languages, philosophy, archaeology and musicology.
Karl C. Ivarson Scholarship for Students in Soil Science and Related Studies Likely March 2018 Dr. Karl C. Ivarson Scholarship provides financial support to students entering second or subsequent year of graduate studies in soil science (in areas of agriculture, environment, geology, agro-ecology or other related disciplines). Candidates must hold Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Residence status in Canada and be enrolled in their graduate program for at least one semester beyond the application deadline.

BC Aboriginal Student Award Saturday, 31 March 2018 The Irving K. Barber British Columbia Scholarship Society has established an award program for Aboriginal students pursuing studies at the Master’s and Doctoral levels in British Columbia. Renewable awards of $5,000 per year are available. Selection is based on a variety of factors, including financial need, family and community responsibilities, and career and life goals.
Canadian Liver Foundation Graduate Studentships Saturday, 31 March 2018 The objective of the Canadian Liver Foundation (CLF) is to provide support for research and education into the causes, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases of the liver. Graduate Studentships and Summer Studentships are intended for scientists-in-training who are working towards obtaining their Masters or Ph.D. and whose research projects are related to liver diseases.
Charles D. Gonthier Research Fellowship Saturday, 31 March 2018 The Canadian Institute for the Administration of Justice provides funds for a $7500 Research Fellowship in order to support research related to the Institute's annual conference theme. The completed research is expected to be presented at the Institute’s annual conference and published with its proceedings. Open to faculty and graduate students at Canadian universities.
