Gustave O. Arlt Award in the Humanities Check with graduate program; Graduate porgram nomination deadline: likely March 2018 Named in honor of the first president of the Council of Graduate Schools and first presented in 1972, this award is made annually to a scholar-teacher in the humanities. The recipient must be teaching in a North American university, have earned a doctorate within 7 years of the award date, and have written a book of scholarly importance. Subjects fields are selected annually. Awards have been made in literature, history, linguisitics, foreign languages, philosophy, archaeology and musicology.
Dan David Prize Scholarship Saturday, 10 March 2018 The Dan David Prize awards scholarships to doctoral and post-doctoral researchers, carrying out research in one of the selected fields for the current year. 2018-19 selected fields are past time dimension - history of science; present time dimension - bioethics; future time dimension - personalized medicine.

Charles D. Gonthier Research Fellowship Likely March 2018 The Canadian Institute for the Administration of Justice provides funds for a $7500 Research Fellowship in order to support research related to the Institute's annual conference theme. The completed research is expected to be presented at the Institute’s annual conference and published with its proceedings. Open to faculty and graduate students at Canadian universities.

Anne Vallee Ecological Fund Likely March 2018 The Anne Vallée Ecological Fund (AVEF) offers two $1,500 scholarship to support students registered in animal research at the master or doctoral level in a Québec or British Columbia University. The AVEF is focussed on supporting field research in animal ecology, in relation with the impact of human activities such as forestry, industry, agriculture, and fishing.
Karl C. Ivarson Scholarship for Students in Soil Science and Related Studies Likely March 2018 Dr. Karl C. Ivarson Scholarship provides financial support to students entering second or subsequent year of graduate studies in soil science (in areas of agriculture, environment, geology, agro-ecology or other related disciplines). BC Aboriginal Student Award Likely March 2018 The Irving K. Barber British Columbia Scholarship Society has established an award program for Aboriginal students pursuing studies at the Master’s and Doctoral levels in British Columbia.
