Senior Women Academic Administrators of Canada (SWAAC) Graduate Student Award of Merit Likely November 2024 Awards of $3,500 each will be awarded women graduate students who have demonstrated leadership while maintaining exemplary academic records. UBC may nominate one student to the 2020 Western Provinces competition.
SERB-UBC Scholarship Program under review. Not accepting applications at this time. This award, a collaboration between The Science and Engineering Research Board, India (SERB) and UBC, provides up to 5 scholarships per year to PHD candidates in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. SSHRC Doctoral Fellowships Likely September 2021 SSHRC Doctoral Fellowships provide financial support to outstanding students pursuing doctoral studies in the social sciences or humanities. Students registered in a UBC degree program (or on an approved leave of absence from UBC) in the 2020 calendar year must complete the SSHRC online application by UBC's deadline. Applicants complete and submit one application to be considered for both the Canada Graduate Scholarships-Doctoral (CGS-D) and Doctoral Fellowship.

Transdisciplinary Understanding and Training on Research - Primary Health Care (TUTOR-PHC) Likely November 2021 Transdisciplinary Understanding and Training on Research - Primary Health Care (TUTOR-PHC) is a one-year national interdisciplinary training program funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and the Canadian Health Services Research Foundation (CHSRF) with representation from the disciplines of Family Medicine, Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology and Education. This training program is aimed at students and their supervisors from Canadian universities who are interested in interdisciplinary primary health care research.
