Emad Naseri

Postdoctoral Fellow

I am a mechanical engineer and a scientist working in the field of biomedical engineering. Currently, I am working on the Mend the Gap project. "Mend the Gap team is composed of 12 academic institutions and 3 non-profit and charitable organizations from five countries, each contributing key expertise." A large ambitious project! I am performing various mechanical and rheology tests for characterizing the candidate biomaterials. I am addressing the challenges of developing an injectable biomaterial that encourages axon growth while maintaining mechanical integrity after injection. In addition, I am working on bioprinting techniques to develop a mock spinal cord for in vitro experiments.
