Omid Haji-Ghassemi

Postdoctoral Fellow

I am working on the structure and biology of a giant ion channel known as the ryanodine receptor, which is a crucial component of muscle contraction, neuron function, and memory formation. My project spans from identification of drug and small molecule binding sites on this ion channel to elucidation of the molecular mehcanisms involved in its regulation by other proteins.
