Request for Exception to Employment Limit Form

Students receiving scholarships whose cumulative total is equal to or greater than the value of the Tri-Agency Master’s scholarship ($17,500) are required to limit their number of hours of paid employment to 12 hours per week, averaged over the year. Requests for exceptions may be made to the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies using this form.

Should a student be found in contravention of this policy, the student may reduce their hours of employment to comply with the limit, decline their scholarship funding, or submit a request for an exception to the limit. The student’s scholarship funding will not be suspended while such a request is pending, to a maximum of one month (this period may be extended under exceptional circumstances).
