Fellows receive a stipend of $100,000 per year and are supported to pursue a one to two year postdoctoral placement at a world-leading laboratory anywhere in the world in a disciplinary pivot from their PhD. |

| Senior Women Academic Administrators of Canada (SWAAC) Graduate Student Award of Merit | Likely November 2024 | Awards of $3,500 each will be awarded women graduate students who have demonstrated leadership while maintaining exemplary academic records. UBC may nominate one student to the 2020 Western Provinces competition. |
| SERB-UBC Scholarship | On hold | This award, a collaboration between The Science and Engineering Research Board, India (SERB) and UBC, provides up to 5 scholarships per year to PHD candidates in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. It includes a monthly living allowance of USD 2,000 plus funding by UBC covering the tuition costs. |

| SSHRC Talent Award | Likely in February 2025 | The SSHRC Talent Award recognizes outstanding achievement by a current SSHRC doctoral or postdoctoral fellowship or scholarship holder. The Talent Award is given to an individual who maintains academic excellence, has a talent for research and knowledge mobilization and has demonstrated clear potential to be a future leader within and/or outside the academic sector. One Talent Award will be awarded by SSHRC from the nominations submitted by Canadian universities. |
