Edwin S.H. Leong CSC UBC PhD Scholarship Monday, 17 August 2020 Renewable doctoral scholarships of $35,000 per year for up to four years are offered annually by the Tai Hung Fai Charitable Foundation, in partnership with the China Scholarship Council (CSC). To be considered, candidates must be citizens of the mainland of the People's Republic of China who demonstrate academic excellence and who are undertaking PhD research at the UBC Vancouver campus, in one of the following areas: health, natural sciences, natural resources, economics or business.
Foreign Government Awards Program - Mexico Application will be available in June 2020; Deadline: Likely September 2020 The Government of Mexico is offering scholarships to Canadians for study or research at the Undergraduate, Master's, Doctoral or Postdoctoral level in Mexico.
International Development Research Centre (IDRC) Research Awards 4:00 pm (EDT) on 16 September 2020 The IDRC Research Awards are offered to Canadians, permanent residents of Canada, and citizens of developing countries enrolled in a master’s or a doctoral degree at a recognized university OR who have completed a master’s or a doctoral degree at a recognized university. Research award recipients will undertake a one-year paid program of research focused on at least one developing country.
John W. Davies Memorial Award Friday, 20 November 2020 One award of $3,000 is offered by the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers, Arctic Section in memory of John W. Davies, a former Chairman of the Arctic Section. The competition is open to any full time graduate student whose research will assist in providing solutions to problems encountered in the Arctic or in cold ocean environments.
Killam Awards for Excellence in Mentoring Friday, 18 September 2020 at 4:00 pm The Killam Awards for Excellence in Mentoring recognize outstanding mentorship of numerous graduate students over many years.
