APF Canada Media and Postgraduate Fellowship

Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada is accepting applications for its Post-Graduate Research Fellowship program, which offers recent Masters and PhD graduates the opportunity to work for one year at the Foundation's Vancouver office. Fellows conduct research on a topic of their choice and participate in the Foundation's daily operations. The Post-Graduate Research Fellowship is granted to three recent graduates each year, and is valued at $38,000 and $40,000 annually for Master and PhD graduates, respectively.

Autism Research Training Program

The Autism Research Training (ART) Program is funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) Strategic Training Initiative in Health Research (STIHR), with supplemental funding from the Sinneave Family Foundation. Epilepsy Canada Postdoctoral Research Award

Epilepsy Canada is pleased to announce that it is again accepting submissions to support research trainees in any area of research pertaining to epilepsy. Epilepsy Canada’s mission is to support research (in the biomedical, clinical or social sciences) that is focussed on improving the lives of people with seizure disorders. In particular, we are seeking to fund post-doctoral researchers and summer studentships associated with a Canadian university or hospital (research activities must be conducted within Canada). Epilepsy Canada will award one (1) postdoctoral research award (valued at $37,000 CDN) for the time period July 1, 2012 – June 30, 2013.

It will be awarded for the best running thesis of PhD student participating in the France-Canada joint PhD (cotutelle) program.The FCRF Scholarship for thesis cotutelles finances academic study visits in France (one round-trip airfare and monthly allowance) for a Canadian doctoral student enrolled in a thesis cotutelle program between a French institution and UBC.

The International Development Research Centre (IDRC) offers awards for field research in Canada and one or more developing countries.
