What aspect of your graduate program do you enjoy the most or are looking forward to with the greatest curiosity?

The Indigenous Community Planning program includes a practicum where students work within a First Nation community in a planning capacity. I am greatly looking forward to this opportunity, and I feel it will be an excellent learning experience.

What was the best surprise about UBC or life in Vancouver?

The best surprise about living in Vancouver is the amount of outdoor activities there are all year round. I love exploring the different parks and beaches, and it seems as though there is always somewhere new to discover.

Why did you decide to study at UBC?

I decided to study at UBC as it was the only University offering the course concentration that I am interested in, and it is a beautiful campus and city to live in.

What is it specifically, that your program offers, that attracted you?

The Master of Community and Regional Planning offers the Indigenous Community Planning concentration. This program is one of a kind in Canada, and I was immediately interested in the program content and structure.
