Files and links are made available when applications open on 23 March 2026, and will remain available until 22 May 2026.

(1) Download these 2 files: PSI Fellowship Application 2026-2027 and PSI Fellowship Application Instructions 2026-2027. They can be found at the bottom of the "Further Information" Section below. 

(*CV UPDATE) With the Vanier-Banting CV no longer available, please note that the CV section in the Application Instructions is no longer valid. Instead applicants are required to follow these steps: 

(a) If you have already created a Vanier-Banting CV, you can upload it as part of your application. Nothing else is needed from you as we still accept that format this year. If you have already applied with this particular format, again, nothing is needed on your part; your application will be accepted with the Vanier-Banting CV.

(b) In all other cases, PSI now requires a new Tri-agency CV. This is essentially a narrative style CV and guidelines for creating it depends on what Tri-Council Agency best represents your department/research area.

(2) Once the form is downloaded you can edit and save the form by renaming it. Name your application: LastName_FirstName_PSI

(3) Following the guidelines, complete the Application form. Please note that each section ("Outline of Proposed Scholarly Work" and "Relationship of Proposal to PSI Goals") is individually capped at 4000 characters and 1 page.

(4) Upload the completed PSI Fellowship Application 2026-2027 form and your your Tri-agency CV (or existing Vanier-Banting CV) as one pdf file (see instructions for details) to this page. The page is a Qualtrics form that will require 5 minutes to complete once all your documents are ready to be uploaded. Please read the Overview section on that page carefully before proceeding to ensure your application is submitted correctly.

(5) For the mandatory supervisor letter of support and the optional letter(s) of support from collaborators, your letter writers should go to this page. You can open the page, and share the link with them. The page is a Qualtrics form that will require 2 minutes to complete once the letter of support is ready to be uploaded.

(6) This will complete your application.
