The Science Policy Fellowships program gives health researchers and trainees the opportunity to gain real world experience in health policy making. Researchers from all areas of health can apply to spend six to twelve months in a policy setting where they will work as part of a policy team. The current competition, offered by CIHR, CIHR's Institute of Aboriginal People's Health and the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research, will support a number of policy assignments at Health Canada, the Public Health Agency of Canada, the British Columbia (BC) Ministry of Health, the BC First Nations Health Authority and at other BC health authorities.
