The Canadian Society for Unconventional Gas is offering three scholarships valued at $2500 each, for graduate students undertaking research in topics related to unconventional gas. This year the student scholarship winners will be selected from applicants enrolled in a post-graduate degree program related to the petroleum industry, including engineering, geology, geophysics, environmental science and business.

 

Eligibility

Applicants should be enrolled  full-time at an accredited Canadian university in a post-graduate degree program related to the petroleum industry, including engineering, geology, geophysics, environmental science and business.

Application Procedures

Applications are submitted to Canadian Society for Unconventional Gas directly. Complete applications consist of:

  • a personal resume
  • certified transcripts of academic record
  • a summary of the current research topic
  • an outline of the relevance of the research to the field of unconventional gas: exploration or production, regulations, environmental impact and mitigation, marketing.
  • letters of recommendation from faculty members

Applications should be submitted to the Canadian Society for Unconventional Gas directly, by mail or by email.
