Postdoctoral Fellow in Applied Catalysis

The Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering of the University of British Columbia invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Fellow, starting July 1, 2021, or soon thereafter.  Applicants should have received a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering within the past 3 years and have demonstrated strong experimental skills.  The initial appointment is for a one year period.

Expertise in heavy oil upgrading and applied catalysis are essential. The successful candidate must possess the skills and background to perform experiments in high pressure reactors aimed at assessing residue oil upgrading catalysts. Knowledge of the associated analytical methods would be an asset. The successful applicant must have strong written and oral communication skills.
