In this interactive session, we will share some key principles and practices for maintaining a strong graduate program with a focus on supervision, especially in the current context of Covid-19. We will provide a range of strategies, cases, and resources.  Open to all graduate advisors.

Topics will include:

  • Key components of great graduate programs
  • Characteristics of effective mentoring/supervisory relationships
  • Fostering student progress/successful outcomes (admissions, expectations, game plan, yearly reports)
  • Negotiating supervisory concerns, issues, and conflicts
  • Resources
