This session will provide a detailed overview of the CGS-M award competition, including advice on writing a successful application. Eligibility criteria for major funding agencies will be reviewed, as well as application procedures and tips for putting together a strong application.

The CGS-M award competition is open to students who are Canadian citizens and permanent residents. International students are not eligible to apply.

Who should attend?

  • 4th year undergraduate students planning to pursue a full-time, research-based master’s program or
  • 1st year full-time, research-based master’s students.

Registration Information

Registration opens on Tuesday, October 13th, at 9:00 am

Priority will be given to 4th-year undergraduate students and 1st year full-time, research-based master’s students. After registering, you will receive confirmation and additional event details within 2 - 3 business days at the e-mail associated with your community.grad.ubc.ca account.
