Scholarship and Award Opportunities: CGS-M Masters (via Webinar)

This session will provide a detailed overview of the CGS-M award competition*, including advice on writing a successful application. Eligibility criteria for major funding agencies will be reviewed, as well as application procedures and tips for putting together a strong application. A faculty member will provide an adjudicator’s perspective on the review process.
* Please note that this funding opportunity is open to students who are Canadian citizens and permanent residents.
The CGS-M award competition is open to students who are Canadian citizens and permanent residents. International students are not eligible to apply. International students may attend this session if they may want tips for putting together a strong application.
Who should attend?
(i) 4th year undergraduate students planning to pursue a full-time, research-based master’s program or
(ii) 1st year full-time, research-based master’s students.

Brendan Morey is the Assistant Dean, Student Administration and Awards, in the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies, with many years of experience overseeing scholarship competitions and collaborating with funding agencies across Canada.
General registration opens on Monday, October 7 at 9:00 am.
