UBC offers more than 90 course-based and professional graduate programs. In this general session, part of Course-Based Programs Application Week, we'll take a closer look at these programs and share advice on how to apply successfully.
Course-based and professional programs typically have a set length, are cohort-based, and, as the name suggests, are built around a structured course curriculum. While they don't include an in-depth research component, you can expect the depth and sophistication of your work to be a step up from your undergraduate studies.
This session will cover:
- The differences between course-based and research-based graduate programs
- How the application process differs for each
- Writing a statement of interest for course-based and professional programs
- References: what we look for and who you should ask
- CV tips
- Interview tips
- Q&A
Who is this session for?
Anyone interested in applying to a course-based or professional graduate program who wants advice and insight on putting together a strong application.
