Considering how to gain meaningful career-relevant experience during your degree? This session introduces a Design Your Own Experience (DYOE) framework for leveraging a diverse ecosystem of creative, applied, and scholarly opportunities that build real, transferable skills. Participants will learn how to use the DYOE framework to identify a problem or opportunity in their field, map their skills, connect with stakeholders, outline deliverables, and clarify learning outcomes. Practical examples of impactful, feasible experiences will be shared to spark ideas.
By the end, participants will have a clear starting point for designing applied experiences that complement their graduate studies and strengthen their job search prospects.
