International Student Evaluation Manual

The Faculty of Graduate Studies provides the International Evaluation Manual to help faculty and staff screen applicants for admission to graduate programs. The manual outlines, for each country or territory:

  • minimum admission requirements
  • names and descriptions of degrees (in original language where applicable)
  • common grading scale
  • list of recognized accredited institutions
  • minimum first-class requirements

You can only access the manual from within the UBC network.

The full manual for staff and faculty is located at: http://iem.grad.ubc.ca/full/.

A limited access is given to students so that they can check some basic academic requirements by country at http://iem.grad.ubc.ca/.
