Patent is pending on the Landing Pad, a ski and snowboard training safety device created by UBC engineering student Aaron Coret and recent graduate Stephen Sten. A 2005 snowboarding accident that left Aaron Coret a quadriplegic was a motivating factor in the drive to create an effective safety device for the sport.
