How do I accept my admission offer to a UBC grad program?

You can confirm that you intend to register by sending an e-mail to your graduate program.

How do I register for courses?

Once you know the courses that have been approved to take by your grad supervisor or program, you can register for courses through the Student Service Centre

How do I access the online Student Service Centre (SSC)?

From the UBC web site's home page, click on UBC Quick Links at the top right, and choose Student Service Centre. You'll need to enter your UBC student number and your password. Your password is initially set to your date of birth (yymmdd). For example, if your date of birth is April 30, 1970, then your SSC password is 700430

How much are my fees and when do I pay them?

Annual tuition fees and student fees are divided into three installments for the academic year. Payments are due in May, September and January. You can find out your tuition and student fee amounts and the dates your payments are due by logging into the Student Service Centre. Once you log in, click on myFinancial Account.

How do I pay my fees?

There are several online payment methods available, including Electronic Funds Transfer, online banking, direct debit using Interac; you can also pay in person by debit card or cheque. Cash and cheque payments can be made at any branch of HSBC.

How do I find off campus housing?

Information about ff-campus accomodation can be found on the UBC Student Housing web site.  The best resource on this page is the AMS rentsline.

Where can international students go for advice and assistance?

There are many resources available for international students. Check the International Student Development section of the UBC web site, or visit International House to meet friendly advisors and other international students.

Can I change my start date?

Possibly. Please contact the graduate program to which you have been offered admission to ask if they will allow it.
