Marie Curie International Outgoing Fellowships

Quick Facts

The Marie Curie International ‘Outgoing’ Fellowships for Career Development (IOF) enables European experienced researchers (PhD or 4 years research experience) to have the opportunity to be trained and acquire new knowledge in a third country (e.g. Canada) high-level research organization. Funding is provided for advanced training and trans-national mobility for nationals of a Member State or Associated Country. Experienced researchers applying to this action need to identify and develop a research training project that will provide the means to reach professional maturity and independence and to add different/complementary scientific competencies to their careers.

The researcher must not have spent more than 12 months at the host organization in the 3 years immediately prior. Funding is provided for salary (living, mobility & travel allowance), contribution to research costs and to overhead/management costs for the ‘host’ European organization. Amount of funding varies on experience, family situation, and host country.
