Africa Initiative Research Program

Quick Facts

The Africa Initiative research program supports field-based research on governance issues critical to the continent in five core thematic areas—conflict resolution, energy, food security, health, and migration, with special attention to the cross-cutting theme of climate change. It focuses on the interface between human behaviour and the various themes as they relate to the design and implementation of public policy.

Annual Value: 
Awards will include an honorarium of CAD$5,000 and reimbursement for bona fide research costs of up to CAD$10,000 such as travel, food, accommodation, research materials, telecommunications and computing expenses.
