Housing for the UBC Graduate Community

Graduate students, faculty members and staff have many options when selecting on-campus housing at UBC. Major fellowship holders are guaranteed housing assignments to single student residences. To be eligible, applications must be received by the residence by May 1, and the Faculty of Graduate Studies must confirm your full-time status. The Housing department’s application process is entirely separate from the admissions process—don't wait until you're admitted to Graduate Studies before applying for housing. If you apply for housing and aren't admitted to Graduate Studies, your residence fee deposit will be returned to you, provided you submit your letter of cancellation and proof of non-admission to UBC before July 15th. Your application fee is non-refundable.

The Faculty of Graduate Studies is fortunate to have two graduate residential Colleges—Green College and St. John's College—devoted to and providing not only housing but a stimulating academic and cultural environment for graduate students, post-doctoral fellows and visiting scholars.
