Graduate Staff Meetings

Meetings are held quarterly for all graduate program staff to get important updates, training, and to discuss current administrative issues. Graduate advisors are welcome to attend. Notices go out to all graduate program staff.

Grad Insider E-Newsletter

The Grad Insider is a bi-monthly online newsletter from Student Academic Services. It contains articles, information, tips and suggestions and is aimed at graduate program staff and graduate advisors. The current issue and back issues are available on this website, and the link to the new issue is emailed to all graduate advisors and graduate program staff.

SISC

The SISC database (also known as SIS - Student Information System) contains complete records of students' registration histories in their degree programs at UBC. You will be using it regularly to check or enter information about your students.

SISC Assistance and Training

SSC

The Student Service Centre is a section of the UBC website. The information here relates to both undergraduate and graduate students. This site is especially useful for students with non-academic questions. Students can use SSC to do the following and more:

  • register for courses
  • withdraw from courses up to the withdrawal deadline
  • check fee amounts and pay fees
  • check awards amounts
  • order transcripts
  • update personal information e.g. address and email address
