UBC-China Scholarship Council Program
The University of British Columbia (UBC) is very pleased to receive applications from excellent Chinese students who will be applying for China Scholarship Council (CSC) scholarships.
UBC is one of the world’s top universities with outstanding research facilities and faculty mentors. It is located in Vancouver, Canada—one of the most beautiful, cosmopolitan and diverse cities in North America.
There are three types of CSC scholarships that can be taken up at UBC:
- Full Doctoral Student (4 years)
- Visiting Doctoral Student (1 year)
- Postdoctoral Scholar (3-12 months).
For full doctoral students, the first step in applying for these funds is to apply directly to the UBC program in which you are interested through the regular application process. For visiting students or postdoctoral scholars, the first step is to identify a faculty researchers at UBC with whom you would like to study and contact them directly to ask if they are willing to host you.
If you receive an offer of admission to the UBC program (full doctoral students), or a letter of invitation (visiting students or postdoctoral scholars) you may apply for funds through your current university in China.
