Who should participate? UBC graduate students in a PhD program.

Learning Opportunities: Come learn about the doctoral exam process and plan for your success. Topics will include:

  • Effectively planning your exam timeline
  • Foreseeing and avoiding stressful obstacles
  • Administrative responsibilities (yours, ours, your supervisor’s)

Presenters: Jacqueline Webb, Doctoral Exams Co-ordinator, leads the Faculty of Graduate Studies team whose work is focused on assisting UBC doctoral candidates with preparing for their oral defences. Jacqueline’s team includes Kristen Wong, Julie Hodge, and Jessica Iverson, who also provide support to doctoral students, supervisors and examiners.
